South China Morning Post launches smartjob and Classified Post mobile apps

HONG KONG, March 4, 2013 – South China Morning Post’s Recruitment Services department has announced two new enhancements of its recruitment products with the launch of a smartjob mobile app and a Classified Post mobile app.

“By introducing these two apps, we’ve made it even easier for jobseekers to find the job they want, with on-the-spot access to the best selection of premium jobs in the City through their smartphones or tablets,” said Alex Ho, Senior Director, Newspaper & Recruitment Services. “The apps enable easy search via keywords, job function, industry and job level and it’s easy to share with friends via social networks.”

SCMP’s smartjob, which launched exclusively as a website just over a year ago, targets young, up and coming junior and mid-level professionals who believe they have what it takes to get ahead in their careers. It is an optimal job search resource that focuses on maintaining only a quality portfolio of professional jobs online, avoiding the market practice of populating a portal with old or duplicated jobs.

Classified Post, SCMP’s highly regarded newspaper and website targeting middle to senior positions, underwent a print revamp last week and is introducing a mobile app to enhance ready access to its formidable database of the city’s top executive and senior management positions, supporting the needs of busy managers and maintaining Classified Post’s dominant position in the market.

“The Classified Post app gives you on-the-go access to the latest executive job openings from the top companies in Hong Kong and across the region.” commented Alex Ho. “It is also easy to search for jobs by keyword, or by almost every job criteria you can imagine.” added Alex. “Once you have started and have established your job criteria you can then tailor your job alerts to suit your own timing, whether on a daily or weekly basis.”

Both smartjob and Classified Post mobile apps can be easily downloaded from App Store or Google Play
