HONG KONG/ NEW YORK, 26 September 2018 – South China Morning Post Publishers Limited, Asia’s leading media company, today announced the appointment of Maggie Jones to the new position of Director of Newsroom Systems. Reporting to the Group Director for Technology, Etienne Maccario, Maggie will helm SCMP’s technology teams to drive the development of SCMP’s editorial content creation and workflow systems. Maggie has relocated from Los Angeles to Hong Kong, SCMP’s global headquarters.
Maggie joins SCMP from Tribune Interactive, where she was head of product for their portfolio of web and mobile properties, including the Los Angeles Times, Chicago Tribune, New York Daily News, and Baltimore Sun. Maggie started her career as a developer, and found her passion in building exceptional products for content creators. She has led the development from ideation to go-to-market for content management systems and authoring tools across government, retail, and media industries.
