Ben Abbotts

Ben Abbotts is Head of Product & Technology at the South China Morning Post, responsible for all consumer-facing digital product strategy and platforms as well as overseeing SCMP’s internal systems and technology. Ben has 25 years of digital product experience and joined the Post in 2007. At SCMP, he has overseen countless iterations of SCMP.com and SCMP’s native apps as-well-as digital products in the SCMP ecosystem including Young Post, Posties, Style, PostMag and SCMP Plus which launched in 2024. Prior to joining SCMP, Ben managed digital platforms on behalf of EURO RSCG including Microsoft, Budweiser and Adidas. He holds a degree in Business Administration from Bath University.
